Function of the Clutch Kit

The clutch kit enables smooth engagement and disengagement of the engine from the gearbox, allowing gear changes and stopping without stalling. A complete kit typically includes the clutch disc (friction plate), pressure plate, and release bearing. The friction disc transfers engine torque to the gearbox, while the pressure plate clamps it against the flywheel. A worn clutch causes slipping (RPM rising without acceleration), difficulty changing gears, juddering, burning smell, and eventual inability to drive.
