Description
Function of the Radiator
The radiator dissipates heat from the engine coolant as it flows through a network of thin tubes and fins. Air passing over these fins removes heat, cooling the fluid before it returns to the engine. A damaged or clogged radiator causes engine overheating, which can lead to head gasket failure, warped cylinder heads, and engine seizure. Regular coolant maintenance prevents internal corrosion and blockage.
