Function of the Rear Fog Lamp

The rear fog lamp is a high-intensity red lamp in the rear bumper that makes the vehicle visible to following traffic in fog, heavy rain and dust. A cracked lens lets water in and blows the bulb, and a missing or broken lamp leaves the back of the bakkie hard to see in poor visibility and can fail a roadworthy inspection.

Fits the GWM Steed pickup range sold in South Africa: Steed 3 (2.2 491Q, 2.4, 2.5 TCI, 2.8 TC and 2.8 TCI) and Steed 5 / Steed 5E (2.0 VGT, 2.0 WGT, 2.4 and 2.5 TCI). The lamp mounts in the rear bumper.
