Description
Function of the Hydraulic Lifter
The hydraulic lifter (hydraulic tappet) uses oil pressure to automatically maintain zero valve lash (clearance) in the valvetrain. This self-adjusting mechanism eliminates the need for manual valve adjustments and ensures quiet, efficient valve operation. A faulty hydraulic lifter causes a distinctive ticking or clattering noise, especially on cold starts, and can lead to misfires and poor performance.
Why order it from Partszar
A worn engine part rarely fails on its own; it loads the parts around it until they fail too. Replacing it when the first symptoms show is what keeps a small repair from becoming a big one, and the engine runs smooth and quiet again once it is done.
