Description

Function of the ABS Speed Sensor

The ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) speed sensor monitors the rotational speed of each wheel and sends this data to the ABS control module. The system detects when a wheel is about to lock up during braking and rapidly modulates brake pressure to prevent skidding, maintaining steering control. A faulty ABS sensor triggers the ABS warning light, disables ABS function on the affected wheel, and may affect traction control and stability systems.

Why order it from Partszar

A faulty sensor, coil or starter feeds the engine the wrong signal, so it runs rich, misfires, will not start or drops into limp mode, and the fault light stays on until it is fixed. Once this is replaced the ECU gets what it expects and the vehicle runs the way it did when it was new.
