Description
Function of the Tie Rod End
The tie rod end connects the steering rack to the steering knuckle, transmitting steering force to turn the wheels. It contains a ball joint that allows for suspension movement while maintaining precise steering control. A worn tie rod end causes loose steering, wandering, uneven tyre wear (especially feathering), and clunking when turning the steering wheel.
