Function of the Start/Stop Switch

The start/stop switch (push-button start) replaces the traditional key-turn ignition. When pressed with the smart key in range, it signals the ECU to activate the starter motor and begin the ignition sequence. A faulty switch causes intermittent or complete failure to start, even with a working key present.
