Turbocharger Fitment Agreement & Terms Turbocharger & Turbo Cartridge/Core Fitment Agreement & Terms Pre-Installation Requirements The following procedures must be completed before turbocharger or turbo cartridge/core installation: - Root cause analysis of previous turbocharger failure must be documented (oil starvation, foreign object damage, or oil contamination). - Engine oil pressure test must be performed and documented (minimum 20 PSI at idle, 40-60 PSI at 2000 RPM). - Clean or replace oil feed pipe (replacement strongly recommended). - Oil return line must be inspected, cleaned of carbon deposits, and verified to have minimum 15° downward angle. - Flush intercooler to remove any oil or debris accumulation. - Flush oil cooler to ensure proper oil circulation and cooling. - Change engine oil and oil filter using manufacturer-specified synthetic oil (MANDATORY). - Replace air filter with new premium quality filter (MANDATORY). - All exhaust manifold and turbine mounting surfaces must be cleaned to bare metal and inspected for warping or cracks. - All boost hoses and clamps must be inspected and replaced if damaged. - If compressor wheel damage present on old turbo, entire intake tract and intercooler must be thoroughly cleaned of debris. - If turbine wheel damage present, exhaust system must be inspected for loose components. - For turbo cartridge/core installations: Thoroughly clean both turbo housings (compressor and turbine) with solvent and compressed air. Inspect housings for cracks, damage, or excessive wear. Ensure all oil passages in housings are completely clear of debris and carbon buildup. Replace housing O-rings and seals with new components. Installation Procedures - Fit turbocharger or turbo cartridge/core with new gaskets and seals (all gaskets and seals must be replaced - no reuse permitted). - For turbo cartridge/core installations: Install new housing O-rings and back-plate seals. Ensure cartridge/core is properly seated in housing with correct clocking/orientation. Torque center housing bolts evenly in a star pattern to manufacturer specifications. - New copper crush washers must be used on all oil line connections. - Prime the turbocharger with oil before starting the engine - add approximately 100ml of clean engine oil to coat the bearings and prevent dry friction (MANDATORY). - Mounting bolts must be torqued to manufacturer specifications using three-pass torque method. - Check all bolts for proper torque after installation. - Oil feed line must be routed with no sharp bends (minimum 50mm bend radius) and no contact with heat sources. - Oil return line must maintain proper downward angle with no kinks or restrictions. - All exhaust connections must be torqued in star pattern to specification. - Engine must be primed for oil pressure before first start-up using fuel pump disable method. - Let the engine idle after starting to build oil pressure and avoid wearing out the turbine bearings (minimum 2-minute idle period with no throttle input). - After driving, let the engine idle before shutting down to allow turbo to slow down and prevent oil coking (30-90 seconds depending on driving intensity). Break-In Period (MANDATORY) - First 100 km: Maximum 3000 RPM, no full-throttle acceleration, no high engine loads. - First 200 km: Keep boost below 50%, vary engine speed, avoid aggressive driving. - First oil change must be performed within 500-1000 km to remove break-in debris. - Every cold start requires 30-second minimum idle before driving. - Every shutdown after highway/aggressive driving requires 30-90 second idle before engine off. In the event of a warranty claim, the following documentation must be provided: installation invoice from RMI certified workshop, photographic evidence of installation process, documentation of previous turbo failure root cause, proof of first oil change within 1000 km, and ongoing maintenance records. Failure to provide complete documentation will result in claim rejection. Hand-written reports will not be accepted. Disclaimer Turbocharger and turbo cartridge/core installation is a highly technical procedure requiring specialized knowledge and precision. All installation procedures must be performed by an RMI certified workshop. Improper installation will result in immediate catastrophic failure and engine damage. It is the responsibility of the workshop to advise their customer and/or the responsibility of the customer to ensure: - Installation is performed by qualified, RMI certified personnel - All procedures in this agreement are followed exactly - Proper break-in procedures are completed - Regular maintenance using manufacturer-specified synthetic oil is performed - Any unusual noises, smoke, or oil leaks are addressed immediately - For cartridge/core installations: housings are thoroughly cleaned and inspected, and all O-rings and seals are replaced Acknowledgement I hereby agree, understand, and confirm that: - I have taken delivery of the turbocharger or turbo cartridge/core with sufficient time to inspect and acknowledge that the goods are fit for the intended use. - I understand that turbochargers and turbo cartridges/cores are highly technical components operating at extreme speeds (up to 250,000 RPM) and temperatures, and must only be installed by RMI certified qualified personnel. - For turbo cartridge/core purchases: I confirm that the existing turbo housings have been thoroughly cleaned, inspected for damage, and all oil passages cleared before installation. - I will not hold Partszar liable for any damage caused by improper installation, failure to follow break-in procedures, use of non-qualified personnel, or failure to properly prepare housings for cartridge/core installation. - I understand that 70% of turbocharger failures are caused by oil starvation, and proper oil system maintenance is critical. - I will ensure the engine is allowed to idle for 30 seconds minimum before driving and 30-90 seconds before shutdown after hard driving. - I will use only manufacturer-specified premium synthetic oil and change oil every 5,000 km maximum. - I will complete the first oil change within 500-1000 km to remove break-in debris. - I will not exceed 3000 RPM or use full throttle during the first 200 km break-in period. - The standard Partszar warranty applies, and it is my responsibility to familiarize myself with warranty terms and maintain proper documentation. - In the event of a complaint or dispute, I shall inform Partszar in writing by requesting and completing a claim document with all required documentation including installation photos, RMI certification proof, and maintenance records. - Parties will attempt to resolve complaints within 7-10 working days. - Failure to provide required documentation (RMI installation proof, photos, maintenance records) will render the claim null and void. - Partszar's liability in relation to defective goods will be limited solely to the replacement of such parts, unless otherwise prescribed by legislation. - Installation errors, improper break-in procedures, lack of maintenance, and oil-related failures are NOT covered under warranty..
