Description
Function of the Clutch Slave Cylinder
The clutch slave cylinder receives hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder and converts it back into mechanical force to disengage the clutch. It pushes against the clutch fork or directly against the release bearing (concentric type) to separate the pressure plate from the friction disc. A leaking slave cylinder causes clutch pedal sinking, difficulty shifting, clutch fluid loss, and eventually inability to disengage the clutch.
