The intake manifold distributes air (or air-fuel mixture) evenly to each cylinder through individual runners. Its design is engineered to optimise airflow velocity and distribution for maximum power and efficiency. A cracked or leaking intake manifold causes vacuum leaks, uneven cylinder fuelling, rough idle, misfires, and poor performance.

Common Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

A generic OBD reader shows the 5-character code; the GWM system stores the 7-character extended form shown in brackets.

  • P2100 [P210000] — Throttle actuator motor drive circuit — open
  • P2102 [P210200] — Throttle actuator motor drive circuit — short to ground
  • P2127 [P212700] — Throttle position sensor circuit — low / open
  • P2128 [P212800] — Throttle position sensor circuit — short to power
