Description

Function of the Fuel Pickup and Level Sensor

The fuel pickup assembly draws fuel from the tank and includes a strainer to filter large contaminants. Combined with the fuel level sensor, it also provides the fuel gauge reading to the dashboard. A clogged fuel pickup restricts fuel flow, causing starvation under load, while a faulty level sensor gives inaccurate fuel gauge readings.
